Aloha from Hawaii!! I am smitten. Smitten by this beautiful place! This morning a rooster woke me up!! Two glorious cocks-doodle-dos and I was wide awake.  :-) The day began with a very laid back chat about the morning, followed by a delicious breakfast of eggs, rice, bacon, spinach, and carrots. Once the day was started we went uptown to the lavender farm. The photo you see here was taken by me from there...
The countryside is beautiful! open, lush, and spacious-with trees and plants and flowers. It was cloudy, and humid, and misty and AMAZING!!! On the way back I nearly hit a pheasant that ran across the road... (only in Hawaii!!) Today was a wonderfully amazing day full of fried fish, gelato, good conversation, and memories!!!! I have so much more to say but I am sleepy, and besides... Tomorrow, I get up to watch the sunrise!  :-)
Praise the Lord for the beauty of the day and the peaceful sereneness that I had the privilege, honor, and joy of witnessing. I cannot compute, or articulate how happy and content I am here.. Completeness, peace, and joy...amen

Hawaii Bound: 24 Hours and Counting...

I woke up this morning thanks to anxiety  I have been having no trouble sleeping in lately since the time has changed, so waking up at 6:30 startled even me. However, I couldn't go back to sleep. I was too excited, too ready, and too nervous about not being ready, that I popped up out of bed to repack my bag and tie up any loose ends.

Tomorrow I will embark on the journey of a lifetime. Something special will happen on this trip. I can feel it. I am looking forward to breathing the Hawaiian air, bathing and swimming in the Hawaiian water and eating Hawaiian delicacies. I can't wait to see my friend, meet her family, and live the life that I was born to live (in an alternate universe of coarse).

I am stoked about the plane ride! I LOVE plane food. Pizza from a package, tiny soda cans, plastic-ware packs. I hope I sleep well. I have not been known as one to have trouble sleeping, though Mrs. Anita and Lesley both have given me their "secret sleeping pill" advice.

I figured after getting out of class, driving to Norcross, and then driving to Alpheretta (ETA: 1:30am) and them arriving at the airport at 5:45, I should be well and tired for the trip! But when I arrive, it will begin. My body will be telling me its 11pm, but it will only be mid-ealry afternoon there!!

Uh oh, I have to go do the first shift of the table for the students choice award. Busy day today!!

I'll write from the plane though. Wish me blessings!!!
